Yesterday was Easter and I have more candy than I could possiblly imagine to eat. Actually I could eat it but I can't imagine fitting into my pants afterwards. lol. It was a wonderful weekend to say the least. My brother came home from Nashville and we spent some serious time hanging out which was awesome seeing as it is rare for him to come home. However he is coming again in a few weeks to watch my performance of Ragtime which will be no less than spectacular :) However he didnt watch "James Patterson's 'Suzanne's Diary for Nicolas' " with me last night. I can't say I blame him, I mean I cried the whole time. The story was so real and honest and about how life is unpredictable. If you have read any of my last entries you know that I very much have seen this as the theme of my life lately. However I think my life is predictable in a good way now. It is all about your attitude and mine was not where it needed to be focused. If you ever go eat at Hyman's Seafood in Charleston read their business card and you will know what I mean...

So I go back to school today - back to the Ragtime craziness of rehearsals, step class and 8 o'clock classes, late nights and sorority formals, a trip back to Nashville for Margaret's art show (amazing!), dance parties and parking tickets, and lots of reading LOTS (i am behind as usual). I mean I was a good student this break, or a student with good intentions. I actually brought my books home. But yeah, thats about it :) Can you blame me? But i mean I dont think a student with good intentions will get far at Furman unfortunately. Today I'll be spending time with my mom- we are going out to lunch at a new mexican place and then maybe some shopping. Then I will complete the day by eating a "healthy" dinner with Anna Banana ("Anna, did you know there was a smoothie named after you?!" haha) It will be a nice way to end the day because Anna and I always have the most interesting conversations. props to you sassy lassie!

Ok so now I need to pack...why do i overpack...

some of margaret's (brother's girlfriend) art for you...

and the lovely group that went to nashville...fun times to say the least.

So here is my Spring Break update...

My last exam went well seeing as now I think I have finally learned how to study. I don't know if it was actually the way I studied or that the library was pretty much empty seeing as not many people had exams on wednesday. I found myself sitting back, listening to my IPod, eating plenty of chocolate, and actually studying effectively. no distractions. just me and my notes. I could actually quote my notes on the test. But also seeing as I have a photographic memory as I was told by Crystal this all makes perfect sense.  I mean how did I ever learn dance other than photographic memory. Figures that I finally figure my memory cycle out right at the end of winter term. So once again, thatta girl Laura.

After I came home from school I pretty much slept for a good day and a half. I guess having 8 hours of sleep in three days is the explanation for this.Or else seeing as I disappear in my comfortable bed of feathers maybe I just hibernated. yes hibernated

So on Friday Marla, Anna, and Crystal, and I made our roadtrip up to Nashville, TN. Big shout out to Anna here. Without her we would have had no music. Seeing as her music taste is so rockin' we all thought not to bring music, because knowing her she would have some. Props to you Sassie Lassie :)

After five hours of driving, lots of singing, and a meal in the cold we found my brother's apartment. no hitches. We then took a dark tour around Belmont University and then went to what I consider one of the coolest places in Nashville which is like no where I have ever seen. Cafe Coco. Then after three U-turns in about 10 minutes we made our way to a party my brother was at and ended up getting the low down for awesome shopping spots in the city. On Saturday we walked down to 21st Avenue, had breakfast at Fido (I am an orange juice drinking fool...thanks for the documentation Anna ), then made our way to Pangea which I made an awesome purchase of an pearl bracelet for...6 dollars! Then we went to Fire and Finch and Posh, in Posh is where we ended up spending an hour in the next day due to my lack of decision skills. After an hour of trying to find Opry Mills and however discovering Broadway shoes we made our way to Centennial Park and climbed trees...lots of laughs there. After a show of beach volleyball and getting footballs thrown at us we went to P.F. Changs for dinner. Our waitor was sexy...or let's just say he wanted us to THINK he was. oh poor Miles. After a few hours at Bongo Java and a trip downtown only to get scared by the homeless...we watched some of The Family Guy with my brother then passed out. On Sunday we ate at the Pancake Pantry, which once again is a MUST if you are in Nashville. Always a long line but always worth the wait.

After a trip to the Goodwill Superstore we made our way once again back to Greenville through snow (more like blizzard), sleet, and heavy rain. beat that my friends, beat that.

wonderful hillarious friends combined with a trip to Nashville. priceless.

The rest of the week until now has been filled with emotion and yet relaxation. It is probably good to have the two combined. It would be hard to deal otherwise. It is hard when two choices ultimately mean you lose something either way. what is the answer. All I can do is wait....

So Spring break is less than 24 hours away and in three days I will be making my way in the Jetta up to Nashville with some of my favorite people. Yes this week definitely rocks my world despite my morning exam that I have yet to take tomorrow.

But let me just say the month has February has definitely been fast and sweet. It seems like so much has happened that when I would go to write something, there was too much. So there is your explanation to the lack of entries.

Sometimes I guess emotion can't be put into words.

who said someone couldnt take an artistic picture at wal-mart? haha....

Since Friday seems to be a designated day for tests at good ol' Furman I am just about to make my way to the library to finish my "hard core" studying. I was going to study last night but I was distracted by the beautiful sound of Mae and Copland. Anna and Crystal came and it was a blast to say the least not only to be at the concert but spend time with them. It is essential I have found to have positive people in your life.  very essential.

Well you know it has been a long week when you lay down to take a nap and you wake up three hours later. I guess this will be to my advantage as I study for all hours of the morning....
